Experience
I am a student chasing his dreams, and nothing satisfies me more than helping others do the same. As a tutor, I hope for my students to become more comfortable with their studies. I want them to take powerful strides towards their personal and academic goals. I began my undergraduate studies with a double major in finance and English at Rutgers University in New Jersey in the spring of 2015. At Rutgers, I completed my freshman and sophomore years. I also worked for two years with the Rutgers Upward Bound TRiO program. There I gained experience tutoring high school students in the basics of essay composition and reading comprehension. I also tutored SAT prep in writing, reading, and math. Recently, I took a leap of faith, left the school I loved, and moved to the Bay Area. Currently, I am completing my undergraduate studies at Berkeley City College. It was difficult for me to uproot myself from the family and friends who had nurtured me in the beautiful Garden State, but the pull I felt to a more esteemed Californian university was too strong to resist. I support students in moving outside of their comfort zone to chase their dreams and realize more of their personal and academic potential.
